The “mini school missions” with churches and their local school(s) are a great way for churches to build relationships with their local schools.

They include a Crazy Science day in the schools and a family Bubble show in the church on the Saturday.

Doug does a lot of Crazy Science shows in schools and the show goes down really well with its mixture of songs (including BSL signing songs) plus “Wow!” factor experiments using dry ice etc. The shows tick both a science box and a gentle faith box for the schools and having that “Wow!” factor also means it engages both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children.

The mini mission is working really well in terms of seeing new families from the schools coming along to the Saturday event so they’re a fantastic way to reach local families too.
